Haw River State Park is the setting for The Summit Environmental Education and Conference Center, making it unique as the state park system’s only residential environmental education center. Besides environmental education, The Summit Center also offers conference facilities for groups ranging in size from 10 to 200. Located in the northern Piedmont Triad region, the picturesque terrain makes this the ideal place to connect with nature. As a state park, its mission is to conserve and protect representative examples of the natural beauty, ecological features and recreational resources and to provide environmental education opportunities that promote stewardship of the state's natural heritage.
