Piedmont Hiking and Outing Club

The Piedmont Hiking and Outing Club is an all volunteer group founded in 1982. It is a club for people who enjoy physical activities, the outdoors, social activities, and group camaraderie. We have approximately 400 members that include individuals, couples and families. Members come from the Piedmont area of North Carolina, including Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point, Thomasville, Burlington, and surrounding communities.

The hikes and outings are organized and led by the members. On any given weekend, members take to the hiking trails of the Piedmont area, the mountains and lakes of North Carolina, the state parks of Virginia, and beyond. Outings are published in their newsletter, the 'Trailmarker'; they offer a wide variety of choices for all levels of physical fitness. Outings have ranged from a 2-mile walk around the Greensboro Watershed Trails to a week in Hawaii.    Visit the website for more information.  http://www.piedmonthikingandoutingclub.org/PHOC_about.html
