Join the Piedmont Land Conservancy as they showcase this beautiful property along the Blue Ridge Parkway. PLC Stewardship Director Ken Bridle will be in attendance and can share more about PLC’s work along the parkway.
The Waterfalls Farm is a 280-acre property protected by Blue Ridge Conservancy. The land consists of open fields and mature hardwood and pine forests, with a trail leading hikers to a beautiful cascading waterfall on Waterfalls Creek. Early October will provide cooler weather, gorgeous fall colors, hawk migration sightings and views of Bullhead Mountain State Natural Area. The hike is considered strenuous including rugged terrain to and from the base of the falls. Participants should wear sturdy hiking shoes, and bring a good walking stick, water, snacks. This hike is not recommended for children under 12 or pets. For more information click here.
