Presenters from the NC Division of Air Quality and Forsyth County's Office of Environmental Assistance & Protection will share the science of air through hands-on activities from the It's Our Air curriculum. This curriculum and its activities are designed for high school students, but upper middle school students could also benefit from them.
During this workshop, participants will learn air quality basics and what air is, meet a meteorologist, forecast air quality using real data, and make their own air pollution samplers!
Participants will receive access to online resources including lessons covered throughout the day and can earn credit toward the NC Environmental Education Certification, Criteria I and III. To register, e-mail melanie.buckingham@greensboro-nc.gov
