Join Hanging Rock State Park rangers to paddle down a beautiful section of the Dan River, spanning 4.25 miles.
Kayaking experience is mandatory for participants, and all participants must be at least 16 years old. Life jackets, paddles and kayaks will be provided at no cost.
Come prepared with appropriate swimwear and food/water, if needed. This is a weather-dependent event that can be affected by heavy rainfall days prior.
This program will last approximately 3 hours. Meet at the Dan River Access.
There is a limit of 13 participants, so registration is required. Email jacob.fields@ncparks.gov to sign up.
