We’re looking for a motivated, self-directed intern to help support Piedmont Environmental Alliance's membership program and events this fall. The intern will send marketing and outreach emails, help plan logistics for upcoming events, and support non-profit management, including thank you letters and the PEA database.
The internship has a flexible schedule (10-20 hours a week), with half of hours in our downtown Winston-Salem office space.
Timeline: September - December 2024
Responsibilities:

Send emails, make phone calls, and have meetings to secure community support, sponsorship, and partnership for upcoming events and programs.

Help plan major events, including food and drink, location scouting, & marketing.

Develop written materials for events and programs, as needed.

Support other organizational priorities as needed.
Qualifications:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Comfortable with community outreach - including emails and phone calls to local businesses and organizations.

Computer, social media, and internet savvy. Bonus for working knowledge or experience with canva.

Exceptional organizational skills, self-motivated, and attentive to details.

Demonstrated commitment to environmental and social issues a plus!

Compensation:
This is an unpaid volunteer position.
