Presenters from the NC Division of Air Quality and Forsyth County's Office of Environmental Assistance & Protection will share the science of air through hands-on activities during this two-track workshop. The two tracks will be Intro to Air Quality for Lower Middle School and Elementary School age students, and It's Our Air for Upper Middle School and High School. Starting off as a large group to gain a baseline understanding of air quality, teachers will then move into their designated track to learn how to incorporate air quality content into their classrooms or environmental education programs through hands-on activities specific to the grades they teach.
Participants will receive access to online resources including lessons and activities covered throughout the day.
Participants can earn credit toward the NC Environmental Education Certification (Criteria I or III).
