Green Economy Program Coordinator

Through research, event planning, and community outreach, you will collaborate with a growing team that is at the forefront of our community’s green economic transition. We need a passionate relationship builder who is adept at translating complex policy into everyday language. In this newly created position, our Green Economy Program Coordinator will directly support PEA’s Inflation Reduction Act Technical Assistance and our Triad Green Jobs Center programming.

Clean Energy Internship (Paid)

With billions of climate action dollars now available to businesses, nonprofits, and local governments, you will help PEA and our community accelerate local clean energy projects–like solar energy and electric vehicle adoption–through research, public education, and community outreach. We need a people person who also loves to dig into policy.

Outreach & Events Intern 

We’re looking for a motivated, self-directed intern to help support Piedmont Environmental Alliance's events during Spring 2025. The intern will send marketing and outreach emails, help plan logistics for upcoming events, and support non-profit management, including thank you letters and the PEA database.

Environmental Education Internship

We're looking for an Environmental Education Intern who can commit 5 hours a week  for the full academic year to learn and teach Environmental Education Programs in local schools and to build a team of volunteers to provide these programs more widely. Interns must be available at least one day a week during school hours between 8 am-2 pm. By the end of this internship, the candidates will have completed Criteria IV of the North Carolina Environmental Education Certification.
