Lewisville's Environmental, Conservation and Sustainability Committee (ECSC) will host Lewisville Earth Day (LED) from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 29 at Shallowford Square.
Attendees are encouraged to bring your special recycling items and receive a free LED bulb.
Several groups will take part that day to promote sustainability, including:
Yadkin River Keeper, Sierra Club, Earth Sage, Waste Management, Beekeepers, Gallins Family Farm, Elderberry Creek Nursery, GreeNest and more.
Want to know how plastic bottles are turned into yarn? Unifi will share how this is done and will also have interactive games.
Every hour on the hour, warm up with a 10-minute yoga session; then, cool off with Cotter’s Sno-Cones.
Hungry for more? Food trucks like Wutyasay and 3 Dawgs will be serving breakfast and lunch.
