What does a Supervisor do?
- Provides technical assistance to individuals, groups, schools and corporations on soil and water related concerns
- Makes recommendations based on the specific needs of the evaluation site
- Votes on financial assistance, in the form of mini grants, for programming
- A 5 member board with 3 elected supervisors and 2 supervisors appointed by Forsyth County Commisioners

What does a City Council member do?
- Enacts ordinances, rules and regulations as necessary for the general welfare of the city
- Approves the city budget and sets property taxes and user fees
- Appoints the City Manager and City Attorney
- Approves appointments to City boards and commissions

What does a Superintendent do?
- Both a member of the NC Council of State and of the State Board of Education
