Lunch & Learn: Proper Pruning Prevents Poor Plant Performance

January 16, 2024 -
12:00pm to 1:00pm
online via Zoom (register for link)

N.C. Cooperative Extension in Guilford County and the Extension Master Gardener program invite you to this online Lunch & Learn to learn proper pruning techniques.

The art of pruning does not mean shearing shrubs into green meatballs! Our discussion will cover the tools, techniques, and especially the timing for pruning ornamental small trees and shrubs. Learning to make the right choices is the easy way to have healthier, prettier, and longer‐lived landscape plants.

This is an ONLINE SEMINAR via ZOOM, presented by our Master Gardener volunteers. All presentations in the Lunch & Learn seires focus on aspects of gardening with ornamentals.

PLEASE NOTE: this program will not cover the specific pruning needs of fruit trees.

Click here to register. The talk is free - registration is required in order to receive the Zoom link.

This session will not be recorded. A program Handout providing links to abundant resources and in-depth information will be made available to registrants via the email address provided in a reminder email, a few days before the talk. The Handout will also be accessible after the session on our website.

If you encounter problems registering or if you have questions, please contact Emerson Wells at emerson_wells@ncsu.edu or 336-641-2400.
