Volunteers Needed for the Haw River Learning Celebration!

September 23, 2017 (All day) to October 13, 2017 (All day)
Bynum at the Lower Haw River State Natural Area: Sept. 23 – 29 ; Saxapahaw: September 30 – October 6; Camp Guilrock: October 8 – 13

The Haw River Assembly's unique three-week riverside educational program for 4th graders, the Learning Celebration, kicks off this fall! We are currently seeking volunteers to support the program! Each day of the program children from schools located in the Haw River watershed come out to the Haw River for an educational field trip. Volunteers guide small groups of 4th graders through activities that explore the woods and river through hands-on experiences.  Haw River Assembly provides on-site training and orientation - no previous experience is necessary! The Learning Celebration will be in Bynum (Sept 23-29), then it moves to Saxapahaw (Sept 30-Oct 6) and Camp Guilrock in Reidsville (Oct 8-13). In addition to volunteering on-site, there are lots of other ways to help. Sign up to provide a meal for volunteers, or donate to our Crowdfunder to help us raise $5,000 needed to keep the Learning Celebration flowing! For more information and to get involved visit: http://hawriver.org/projects/4th-grade-field-trip/
