New City Manager Should Have Strong Vision for Sustainability

The City of Winston-Salem is hiring a new City Manager for the first time in 17 years, because current Manager Lee Garrity is retiring. A City Manager is like the CEO of Winston-Salem. This person makes executive-level decisions about staffing, budgets, and strategic planning that deeply impact citizens' every day lives. It's incredibly important that the City Council conduct a national search and hire a new Manager dedicated to environmental sustainability, social justice, and community engagement, and with the leadership experience to implement a vision for a more resilient, just, and sustainable city.

Please fill out this short survey to show your support for a City Manager that has a demonstrated track record of integrating equity lenses and principles of environmental sustainability into projects from conception through implementation, assessment, and reporting. We will let City Council know how important this issue is to the community by submitting the results to them at the May 15th City Council meeting.
