Miller Coffey
Marketing Coordinator
Miller began working at PEA in 2019 as the organization's Communications and Engagement Coordinator. After graduating from Wake Forest University in 2017 with a Bachelor's Degree in History, Miller worked on political campaigns prior to joining the PEA team. Miller retired from PEA in 2021 to start his own marketing firm, which has worked with national non-profits and mission driven organizations, including PFLAG, Mount Owen Forest Sanctuary, and more. Miller returned to the PEA team in 2023 to help build more momentum for environmental advocacy in the Triad through dynamic marketing campaigns. In his free time, Miller enjoys hiking in the Blue Ridge Parkway, cooking creative vegetarian meals, and spending time with his wife, Sunny, and two dogs, Judy and Martha.
Will Eley
Green Jobs Program Manager
After studying social movements and environmental policy at Auburn University, Calarts, and The University of Chicago, Will spent the past decade building networks across the public and private sectors to advance bold solutions related to climate change, transit equity, and environmental justice. He joined PEA in the spring of 2023 following a six-year tenure running campaigns for a national network of nonprofits committed to sustainability and consumer protection. Will proudly calls the Sunnyside neighborhood of Winston-Salem home, where he lives with his wife, daughter, and their electric car. In his free time, he may be found looking at art alongside his wife at SECCA, walking with his daughter to Washington Park, or chatting his neighbors up about federal clean energy tax credits.

Courtney Mosley McMahan
Environmental Education Program Manager
Courtney joined the PEA team in Fall 2024, bringing with her a decade of experience as an educator across North Carolina. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Elon University in Middle Grades Education and a Master’s degree from UNC Wilmington in Curriculum, Instruction, & Supervision. Courtney has taught in classrooms of all ages and spaces, served as a middle school administrator, and consults with other educators in public, private, and charter schools. Courtney is passionate about supporting local educators and environmental sustainability initiatives with PEA. In her spare time, Courtney is often found adventuring and exploring new places with her family or enjoying the great outdoors.

Katy Nimmons
Development Associate
After 12 years at the Texas A&M Health Science Center, Katy joined PEA as the Development Associate in Summer 2024. She has degrees in Public Health and Development Studies and experience in community-based education programs, proposal development, federal grants management, and project evaluation. Katy brings a population health lens to PEA’s work and a commitment to systems-level change. Outside of the office, she lives in the West End with her husband and two sons, where she enjoys spending time on local patios, indulging her newfound interest in interior design, and planning her family’s next adventures.
